We just returned from an 18 day excellent adventure totally organized by Odyssey Voyages. We are two seniorish couples, are all very well travelled and had very high expectations for this trip. The owner Mohamed Mousa did not disappoint ! He is 100 % hands on and arranged every detail for us including guides, lodging, transportation, touring and activities. Mohamed was always responsive every time I reached out to him during the trip planning phase, and remained so throughout our trip. He responded immediately and effectively to all communications we initiated while in Egypt and checked in with us multiple times during our trip to make sure everything was going smoothly and according to plan. Our trip included Cairo to visit the major sights and the new Grand Egyptian Museum, Fayoum to visit waterfalls, Alexandria to visit the library, the Citadel and underground catacombs, Luxor where we visited the major tourist attractions, a 5 day Nile River cruise on a private charter on The Queen Cleopatra dahabiya, Aswan and Abu Simbel. The highlights for us were definitely the Nile river cruise, the livestock market, and the Sun Alignment Festival in Abu Simbel. Our favorite lodging was the Lazib Inn in Fayoum and the Belle Epoque Villa in Cairo. Our guides Mido for the northern part of our trip, and Hasan during the southern part of our trip were both amazing – they were extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history, and bent over backwards to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves and that all of our needs and requests were met. This was one of our top trips (we have travelled to all 7 continents and over 60 countries) and it would not have been as wonderful without Mohamed and his team’s efforts. Our 10-person, 16-day customized trip with Odysseys Voyage was absolutely spectacular and unforgettable. Mohamed Mousa, the highly professional and personable owner of the company, assembled an ideal itinerary and provided impeccable customer service before and throughout our seamless trip. Our primary activities - visiting ancient pyramids, temples, mosques, tombs, and monumental structures in Cairo, Giza, Saqqara, Dashur, Memphis, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Philae, as well as impressive museums like the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum - revealed to us Egypt's incredibly rich and well-preserved ancient civilization. There were no limits to the deep knowledge of our extraordinary Egyptologist guides, George and Rady, who provided just the right amount of detail in their explanations and responses to our many questions, as we unhurriedly explored each site. We learned so much. They were excellent speakers, lively and fun, passionate about their work and country, friendly and attentive to each guest. Our local guides at Sharm al-Sheikh and Mt Sinai, Ahmed and Mohammed, and the support staff on our dahabiya and elsewhere, were also excellent. Every request we made (and there were many!) was graciously accommodated. In addition to the visiting numerous awe-inspiring ancient sites, we enjoyed a good balance of other local activities, such as: preparing a typical Egyptian meal, visiting a farm where we learned about date harvesting and sipped mint tea, riding in a hot air balloon at sunrise, sailing in a dahabiya along the Nile for 3 days, taking a small boat to a new farm-to-table restaurant on an island, visiting a colorful Nubian village by tuk-tuk, hiking at midnight up Mt Sinai to experience views of the gorgeous surrounding mountains at sunrise, snorkeling in the Red Sea, and enjoying plentiful delicious meals in every setting. At several dinners, the local staff broke out the lute and drums to play lively music, and our group enthusiastically joined in to dance! Other favorable comments: The hotels were fabulous. I especially loved the Villa Belle Epoche boutique hotel n Cairo, Hilton Luxor Resort and Spa in Luxor, and the Azal Lagoons Resort in Abu Simbel. Logistics and transportation were flawless - comfortable private air conditioned vans and buses with skillful drivers. There was an unobtrusive security presence everywhere - either police, army or private security -and I felt safe at all times. And finally, this trip was very reasonably priced! Virtually everything exceeded my expectations. I wholehearted recommend this exact itinerary with Odysseys Voyage! Thank you Mohamed and all who made this trip so phenomenal!

This was an excellent experience! Rady is a wonderful guide: knowledgeable and able to navigate any challenges that come up with ease. The Nyle is soft, calming and an eaxoerience you should not miss. The creaw is great! The food is deliscious. If you are contemplating this tour take the leap and just dot it. You will love it!

We are a group of 11 Ladies on a spiritual pilgrimage our guide Rady looked after so well. He treated us like family! He took us to the special spiritual places that are off the beaten path! He negotiated on our behalf while shopping. He arranged perfect transportation to our temples. The dahbiyai crew were amazing as well. They have huge hearts, excellent dance moves and looked after every need or want, even setting up a yoga studio for us! The Chef was top notch! The whole experience was truly first class all the way. I can’t wait to do it again with friends and family. I am sad to leave!

Our guide, Rady Mahmoud, was the heart of our adventure. Warm, funny, and endlessly knowledgeable, he brought the history of each temple we explored to life. He spoke about every site with deep respect and pointed out remarkable details we would have easily missed on our own. It was clear that locals around the temples know and admire him, and his passion for his country and pride in its heritage were evident in every story he shared. Life aboard the Dahabiya sailboat was pure luxury. The crew was friendly and efficient, and the chef's meals were world-class. Drifting down the Nile in such comfort felt like stepping into another era. A highlight of the journey was our hot air balloon ride before sunrise, floating over Hatshepsut Temple and the surrounding villages as the day began. This was such beautiful experience, its the friendliest staff. The private chef’s food is devine, we are vegetarian and they cater especially for us. Will highly recommend to anyone to use this group. Rady was our guide and he so knowledgeable.
